A key consideration is the  solenoid’s electrical coil. The electrical coil operates the mechanical action of the valve and is energized by a solenoid driver.  The solenoid must be an IS certified model, and the solenoid driver must also fulfill intrinsic safety requirements to be used in a hazardous location.
